Geoventure Solution Sdn Bhd has taken CSR initiative during this third phase of MCO. Earlier this week, Geoventure has donated 80 packs of essential foods to foreign workers around Bangi-Kajang area. Due to continuous lockdown happening in Malaysia, many businesses and constructions need to shut down and people starting to lose their source of income.
“It is when you give of yourself that you truly give”
Therefore, the #WhiteFlagCampaign initiatives have started few weeks ago where people will raise white flag to get help from other citizen. But, for these foreign workers, some of them are living in shared house (rumah kongsi) in secluded areas. How are they supposed to reach out when our community mostly only helps our people? As Malaysians, it’s easier to get help from agencies and individuals. But, these foreign workers received little help during this pandemic. Some of the people we met during the distribution, they don’t have and less income for up to two months.
“No one became poor by giving”
We would like to encourage our connections or those who read this post to help the foreign workers around you, no matter in what form. After all, we are all human beings and we are supposed to help each other especially those who are in need as we believe, each religion teaches us to help one another. It’s time to step out and help those who are in need, regardless of their background.
